Coimbatore: A total of 2,000 police will be deployed in the city on Monday given the 24-year anniversary of the coimbatore serial bomb blast.
Police personnel were deployed at seven temples and five mosques in the city of Sunday night.
As many as 500 police personnel were deployed on Jalan Oppanakkara, Big Bazaar Street and other commercial hubs.
“Thirty-six anti-sabotage teams have been formed.
Assistant Commissioner Partana Police lead the team.
The team will conduct an examination in the Tribune Bus, the train station and mall.
They will also check the lodges to find troublemakers,” said a police officer.
Old-four four-wheeled patrol teams and 44 two-wheeled patrol teams will cover city police boundaries.
Security has been strengthened in posting 13 checks.
