New Delhi: 20,000 classrooms built by Delhi government schools will have a smart board as part of the process to change themselves into smart schools.
Sixteen classrooms at Shaheed Amir Chand Sarvodaya Vidyalaya on the Shankaracharya Marg has been converted into a smart classroom by installing a hi-tech smart board.

“All these smart boards are equipped with advanced technology that will not only make a happy teaching and learning process, but also help children learn better,” said Deputy Chief Minister.
“With technology integration, children will have access to all online learning resources.
Modern cameras will be installed in classrooms for direct recording.
This recorded video can be accessed by students and teachers for educational purposes, whenever needed,” added Sisodia.
Conversion into smart classrooms will be done gradually.
Special training will be given to all teachers to utilize smart boards that are better to improve the quality of education at school.
“In the past five-six years, Delhi’s school infrastructure has become a world class.
Five years ago, there were no benches and blackboards right in the classroom, today the Delhi government makes schools smart and equip them with smart technology,” Minister said.
It is a dream of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar that every child must get quality education, Sisodia said, adding that the government wants to provide quality education to every student in his schools.
“We are determined to do that.”
