MUMBAI: The distinctive NIA court Tuesday sentenced three men, detained in 2012 by Nanded in Maharashtra for conspiring to kill Hindu leaders and leaders to produce unrest in the nation, to ten years .
Particular judge D E Kothalikar acquitted two other detained for lack of proof.
The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad needed in 2012 detained five men out of Nanded.
The situation was afterwards taken over from the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
The court on Tuesday convicted Mohammed Akram, Mohammad Muzammil and Mohammed Sadique below the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and Arms Act and sentenced them to eight years’ imprisonment.
Mohammad Irfan and Mohammad Illiyas were acquitted for want of proof.
According to the NIA,” Akram went to Saudi Arabia to the pretext of searching occupation and during his stay that he was introduced to several operatives of their Pakistan-based terror firm Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
He together with his handlers spanned a conspiracy in Riyadh, the Saudi funding, to take out targeted killings of Roman leaders, leaders, and police officers from a variety of parts of India such as Nanded, Hyderabad along with Bengaluru, the NIA stated.
The accused were then arrested in India until they could run the Bible, the bureau told the courtroom.
