Ghaziabad: The incidence of theft is increasing in the area under the jurisdiction of almost all police stations in Ghaziabad this year.
According to Ghaziabad police data, a total of 1,284 fire theft has been submitted in the district from January 1 to June 30 this year, a surge in almost 19% compared to the same period in 2020, when 1,082 cases were submitted.
Most of the case of registered theft this year (977) is theft of vehicles.
Data revealed that most of the vehicle theft had been reported at Kavi Nagar (139), followed by Indirapuram (115) and Sahibabad (95).
Most of theft has occurred in Sahibabad (41), followed by Indirapuram (35).
A senior police officer said Indirapuram and Sahibabad were close to Delhi, because the thieves targeted them because they could vacation quickly to Delhi.
Most couples in these areas work, and thieves enter their homes as they go to work, he said.
Thieves come to work in this area as daily bets and household staff and carry out reservations before committing crime.
“So far, more than 30 thieves have been captured by police who enter homes in these areas with this modus operandi,” the officer added.
The number of murders, however, has seen 10% obstacles – while 27 murder shots.
It has been filed until the end of June this year, the image was established in 30 in the appropriate period in 2020.
Loni has become one of the hotspots for cruel crimes with six murders, followed by Muradnagar where four cases were submitted.
Three cases of each murder have been reported in Masuri, Tronica City, and Loni.

Iraj Raja said that police patrols in the district had increased to examine crime.
“CCTV cameras have been installed along the way so that the police can supervise them too,” he said.
Asked about what steps have been taken in Urban Ghaziabad, SP (City-1) Nipurn Aggarwal said the police team had been deployed in public places both in uniforms and clad in civilians to curb and loot.
“More checkpost is being arranged on the road so the police can arrest the suspect,” he said.
