2021 BMW 5 Series facelift launched at Rs 62.9 lakh

GURUGRAM: BMW India on Thursday launched its 2021 facelift of 5 Series with sportier design and advanced technology.
The new 5 Series is locally manufactured at the company’s plant in Chennai.
The ex-showroom prices of the variants of 530iM Sport starts at Rs 62.9 lakh, 520d Luxury Line at Rs 63.9 lakh and 530d M Sport at Rs 71.9 lakh.
The new series is available in one petrol (BMW 530i M Sport) and two diesel variants (BMW 530d M Sport and BMW 520d Luxury Line).
Bookings have been commenced at all BMW dealerships.
BMW has announced that customers could avail attractive offers like discount of up to 50% on a selected range of exclusive M Performance accessories on online bookings done till July 24.
The new BMW 5 Series is embedded with an eight-speed steptronic sport automatic transmission, remote-Control Parking, BMW Head-up Display, Reversing Assistant, Parking Assistant, BMW Gesture Control.
The car features a 2-litre,4-cylinder petrol engine with power output of 252 hp and a peak torque of 350 Nm.
The car accelerates 0-100 kmph in 6.1 seconds.
There are two diesel options available in the new series.
First one is embedded with a 2-litre 4-cylinder engine with 190 hp power and a peak torque of 400 Nm with 0-100 kmph acceleration in 7.3 seconds.
The second diesel option comes with a 3-litre 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine with 265 hp power output and peak torque of 620 Nm.
It has the 0-100 kmph acceleration timing of 5.7 seconds.
The exterior features the bold BMW kidney grille and new slimmer full-LED Adaptive headlights, newly added BMW Laserlight (in M Sport variants) which uniquely distributes light perfectly up to 650 meters.
At the rear, is the brand-new L shape light graphic that emerges from the taillight in a three-dimensional form and the broad rear with clean horizontal lines aims to emphasises the width.
The interior features the modern cockpit concept.
It features perforated Sensatec upholstery (in 530i variant) to create luxurious impression, BMW Operating System 7.0 that includes 3D Navigation, a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument, and a bigger 12.3-inch Control Display.
The new BMW 5 Series is available in two new colour options including the Phytonic Blue metallic and Bernina Grey Amber effect.
Other colours such as Alpine White and Black (Non-metallic) & Mineral White, Carbon Black, Black Sapphire, Glacier Silver, Bluestone (Metallic), are also available.
