2022 budget which will be presented on February 1: All you need to know

New Delhi: Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman is ready to present the Union 2022-23 budget in 1.
February.
In a letter of the additional Secretary General of the Parliamentary Ministry said that the parliamentary budget session will begin on January 31 with the address of President of RAM Nath Kovind to both houses.
The first half of the budget session will run from January 31 to February 11.
It will regroup on March 14 to sit until April 8, subject to government exigence.
This will be the 10th budget presented by the BJP Modi-LED Narendra government since its appointment in 2014.
The budget assumes important because it was announced when the country fought against the third wave Covid-19.
The center also tends to present an economic survey in parliament, one day before the budget on January 31.
Annual Indian gross domestic product (GDP) slumped at 2020-21 because of continued locking which caused disruption to economic activities.
As a result, GDP for FY21 was contracted to 7.3 percent.
In the data recently released by the Center, GDP growth is expected to witness V-shaped recovery for FY22 by rising to 9.2 percent after easing restrictions.
However, the increasing number of cases because the spread of omicron variants can cause several obstacles.
However, the impact will be seen in the coming days.
Therefore, GDP estimates will be a key number awaited.
Last year, the budget was sent in a paperless format for the first time.
Sitharaman has arrived for budget presentations carrying tablets, not traditional ‘bahi-khata’.
He also launched the cellular union budget application for the complexity free access from budget documents by parliamentarians (MPs) and the general public using the simplest form of digital comfort.
The format for this year’s budget presentation has not been announced.
