New Delhi: Interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi met with Manipur leaders at his residence in the National Capital on Tuesday and discussed the political situation in the state.
All Indian Congress Committee (AICC) responsible for Manipur Bhakt Charan Das while talking to Ani said that the meeting was about the election of Manipur.
“We discussed with Sonia Gandhi about the political situation of Manipur and the upcoming elections.
Everyone gave their point of view and it was listed by high command.
Everyone presented their views, he had a long discussion with senior leaders,” he said.
Congress leader added that the meeting was very friendly.
It lasted for about 40 minutes, and the overall political situation was discussed briefly at the meeting.
Because asked whether Rahul Gandhi was also present, the DAS said the meeting was led by the Interim President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were not there.
The leader of the Congress Legislative Party (CLP), the president who worked, many other MLA, senior observer Jairam Ramesh, and AICC who was responsible for Charan Watershed Bhakts were present at the meeting.
The election will be held next year in the state.
Manipur has 60 assembly chairs and BJP is currently in power.
