Patna: About 20000 security personnel including central armed police companies (CAPF) have been mobilized and deployed in various locations to ensure security and maintain law and order during the Puja Chhath.
At least four CAPF companies including dragonfather Action Force (RAF) have been deployed at the location needed in Patna, Bhagalpur, Aurangabad and Muzaffarpur for CHHAT.
This deployment will continue until Thursday.
According to official information shared by the State Police (head office) Jitendra Singh Gangsar, near around 10000 training participants for district armed police have been deployed in several districts according to their needs.
In addition, 2500 participants of Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP) training and the same number of housekeepers have also been mobilized for the spread and control of the crowd on the road, Ghats and other places specifically the round water body where worshipers will be worshiped by gods Sun.
Overall, 19 commonly armed BSAP companies have also been pulled out of their barracks and other deployment locations and have thrown the current field assignment to maintain security during Chhath throughout the state.

These security personnel will also ensure that the social distance is maintained and other Covid-19 protocols set by the center and state government are followed.
Security personnel will also be involved in strict river patrols and traffic management so that worshipers and commuters do not face problems.
In addition, the National Disaster Response Team (NDRF) Team 14 was deployed across Ghats in the state as needed by the state.
The 9th Battalion Commander NDRF Vijay Singh said 14 teams consisted of around 600 personnel.
“They are equipped with boats, live jackets, buoys, first aid kits and other equipment,” Sinha said.
He said at all 105 boats really moved on the rivers where 70 were on Patna.
Sinha said these teams also consisted of deep divers for any emergency situation.
“The problem is that there are some dangerous Ghats intended in Patna district this time.

The State Disaster Response Deputy (SDRF) Deputy Commander of KK Jha said the 665 personnel were deployed in 99 locations in 25 districts in Bihar.
“They have 300 overall rubber boats that have 3000 lifelong jackets and 600 buoys.
27 Deep Divers is present at a strategic location.
They continue to work in coordination with related district administration,” Jha added.
