Ahmedabad: The Ministry of Health Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) announced 21 new micro detention zones on Monday, bringing the total number of active micro detention zones in the city to 177.
The body of the Civic also eliminates 16 people, seven of them in areas such as Bodakdev, Sola, Gota , Ambli and Ghatlodia, from detention.
The six highest new detention zones are located in the AMC East Zone area such as Maninagar, Nikol, Bhaipura, Ramol, Vastral and Viratnagar.
While four housing communities are located in the North Zone area such as Chandlodia, Gurukul and Ghatlodia.
The newly added micro detention zone includes 152 houses with 580 residents.
The biggest micro detention zone in terms of the population is 48 houses with 114 residents in Block T and K Tivoli at Godrej Garden City in Chandlodia.
The second largest micro detention zone is 10 houses with 60 residents in the GIRIVAR residency in Vastral.
Nine houses with 40 residents in Gatival galaxies also in Vastral have been brought based on micro detention.
