Ahmedabad: On August 18, Gujarat became the second country in India to cross 1 Crore population who had completed the two doses of Covid-19 after Maharashtra.
However, in terms of population coverage, around 15% of the total Gujarat population has received both doses, compared with 11.5% in Maharashtra, placing the country in the first position in the second vaccination of the two doses.
Trend analysis also revealed that 21% of the qualified population (4.93 crore) from Gujarat had been fully vaccinated (1.03 crore), while 65% (3.19 crore) had received the first dose.
Of the total vaccination (4.22 crore), 24.6% or about a quarter vaccination occurred only in four cities – Ahmedabad, letters, Vadodara and Rajkot.
In fact, from every 100 people who were vaccinated in Gujarat, 10 came from the city of Ahmedabad and 8 from the city of the letter.
In terms of coverage, 80% of the population of Ahmedabad who qualified and 78% of the residents of the letter have at least have the first dose of the vaccine.
But progress in several districts is slow.
