Coimbatore: A 21-year-old man was arrested in the city on Friday for marrying a little girl three months ago and raped him.
Police of all Ramanathapuram women have also arrested four friends, who helped him marry the girl.
An investigative officer said J Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Kamarajar Road in Sungam, fell in love with the 16-year-old girl, who worked with a shop after completing class X.

The girl’s parents filed people who were missing with us and we registered the case and started the investigation.
On Thursday, we got a tip that the girl had visited a temple in Sungam, where we secured it, “the officer said.
The clerk said the girl lived with Sanjay in a rented house in Pachapalayam in the district.
The officer said the girl’s parents came to the police station on Thursday to claim to go home.
“But he refused to go with them.
While we planned to send him to the government’s house, the girl escaped from the police station when the police were busy organizing the Ayudha Puja celebration.
Sanjay’s friends, who were waiting in front of the police station, took him to the rental house And unite it back with Sanjay, “the officer said.
The police, however, traced the couple on Friday and arrested Sanjay for kidnapping the girl and raped her.
He was ordered under the relevant section of the protection of children of sexual violations.
“We saved the little girl and sent him to the children’s house.” The police also arrested Sanjay S David, 23, Pasad, 20, C Prabhakaran, 20 and S gokul, 20, all Sungam, because he helped him marry little girl.
“They were ordered under the ban on the child’s wedding law.”
