218 candidates in selected TN without opportunity in local polls

Chennai: At Ward 3 of Killai Town Panchayat in the Cuddalore District, this is an unusual trend that is a violation of election and democratic norms.
Here, the candidate for Aiadmk R Arivazhagan, 45, is a single candidate to submit a nomination in the ward to polls of urban local agencies in Tamil Nadu.
He was chosen without topping.
Arivazhagan said board members were selected here without the opportunity in two last polls.
“It’s a habit here.
AIADMK candidates were selected without removing from the ward 3 in the last two polls.
DMK did not give candidates in the last two polls and this time, they continued to stay away,” he said.
As many as 218 candidates, most of the powerful DMK and the main opposition Aiaadmk has been chosen as a board member in the company, cities and cities of Panchayats – colusive decrites that benefit all.
Their prospective rival pulled their nominated paper before the last day on February 7, six DMK candidates, a AIADMK candidate and an independent candidate was chosen as a member of the Council at Panchayats of a different city in Cuddalore District.
There are examples where the refusal of the nominated paper of all candidates, one restriction, causes one elected candidate to be selected in several wards.
Candidate nominated papers can be rejected in several reasons.
“People who propose the name of the candidate must be in the voter list in the environment where the contest candidate polls.
This time we see a lot of underage candidates archiving nominations.
We also reject some nominated papers for failing to sign documents,” said a poll official, Looking for anonymity.
There are a number of examples where opposition candidates not only attract their nominations to open a way for the selection of rival candidates without a shepherd, but also stops.
Their party and join the rival party.
For example, DMK candidates and council members two B Vijayaragavan, 63, were elected unrivaled from Ward 16 in the city of Vadalur in Cuddalore District.
He was chosen as the same board member in 2001 and 2011.
“Candidates for Aiadmk L Venkaratan attracted his nomination paper and joined the DMK party with his supporters,” Vijayaragavan said.
Venkataran has lost a poll twice to Vijayaragavan.
Other DMK candidates S Chitra, 29 were selected as council members 10 in Ward 7 in the city of Vadalur after the candidate AIDMK and BJP pulled their nominated paper before the last date.
In West Tamil Nadu, where it is a heated battle, several candidates, the majority of them from DMK and in some cases, independent, selected without padlocks.
