Patna: Overall 22 school teachers from the state will be respected at a function to be held on Patna on the occasion of Teacher’s Day on Sunday.
Minister of Education, Vijay Kumar Choudhary, who will be the main guest of the event, will provide cash prizes and quotes to the recipients.
He told this reporter on Saturday that the function would be held with a limited audience considering the Covid-19 pandemic.
Universitas Patna (PU), on the other hand, will be annoying 149 teachers, who have retired between December 2000 and May 2010.
Former Deputy Chancellor (VC) PU, Rash Bihari Prasad Singh, will be the main guest of the function to be held at Wheeler Senate House on Sunday.
All university officials, including VC, Pro-VC, Dean of the Faculty, Head of Department, and College Principal, will attend the event.
Meanwhile, other higher education institutions will celebrate teacher’s day in offline and online mode, given the Covid safety protocol.
Chanakya National Law University students, for example, will arrange virtual events for their teachers.
Apart from group celebrations in college and universities, many students decide to expect their teachers individually.
Some of them have sent greeting cards and gifts to their favorite professors.
Priyanka, a student Patna College, said she had a bouquet courier and a photo frame for the three professors she admired.
Other students, Pradeep Kumar, have bought a “Thank You Card” for his favorite teacher.
