Nagpur: Twenty-two members of three gangs, two who operate in several countries, were ordered under the strict control of Maharashtra on organized crime laws (McOCA) in one day setting new benchmarks for Nagpur City Police.
Of the 22, seven trapped from other states for different violations registered against them.
The city police under CP Amitesh Kumar has begged McOCA to a group of fraudsters between states who are suspected of deceiving prospective medical acceptance throughout the country and cheating them from Crores Rupee in a separate state.
Sources say cheating gangs that promise MBBS entry tend to register violations of them in the state such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and in various parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai.
Crime branch team under the addition of CP Sunil Phulasi and DCP Chinmay Pandit arrested members of the MBBS acceptance alley key, Dubey Pankaj from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh and Chandrashekhar Atram from Delhi, in recent weeks.
The other members Rajesh Guha had escaped from Kolkata when the branch of the crime went to catch it.

Eight gang members were slapped with Mcoca.
CP Kumar said he wanted to put the brakes on the gang of the receipt of the MBBS of this fraud, because they target students and their parents deceived them with a substantial amount.
“The gang has their tentacles scattered in several states in India,” Kumar said.
Sources in the crime branch saying gang members may have a Nexus in several personal medical colleges, which are also under the scanner now.
Following Kumar’s Intervention, Reddy CP Navinchandra additionally also approved a proposal to order the Changiram Gosiram Gosavi bandwit gang based in Madhya Pradesh and his son.
The gang has done a dacoity in three places in Nagpur before being arrested.
Five gang members were arrested by Crime Branch from their Den near Bhopal in MP.
CP also tightened the screw in Gangster Feroze Khan Aziz Khan aka Abu and his gang by asking McOCa against them.
Known as Don of Motha Tajbagh, he has forcibly the property captures several victims and has operated a squeeze racket from his fort.
Sources say more gangs, including MP-based e-transit publishing racquets, under the scanner with Mcoca are likely to be called against them.
