22 was killed, more than 300 others were injured in the earthquake in Pakistan Balochistan Province

Karachi: Strong earthquake 5.9 measures destroying the mountains of Balochistan Province in Pakistan on Thursday, which resulted in the collapse of several houses that killed at least 22 people and more than 300 others were injured, officials said.
Disaster management officials said the dead can increase, Geo News reported.
The National Seismic Monitoring Center in Islamabad reported that the epicenter was near Harnai at a depth of about 15 kilometers.

The earthquake that was exposed to Qetta, Sibi, Harnai, Pishin, Qila Saifullah, Chaman, Ziaat, and Zhob at Balochistan.
Most of the deaths and injuries were reported from the North-East North District of Harnai.
The US geological survey said it was a magnitude of 5.9 magnitude which was hit at a shallow depth.
Shallow earthquakes can cause more damage.
The death toll 22 was confirmed by the Deputy Commissioner of the HARNAI SOHAIL District Anwar Hashmi.
There are six children among the dead.
Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said many dead people were women and children.
The pictures on social media showed people in the city of Quetta out on the streets after the earthquake, Dawn Newspaper reported.
Aftershocks are still felt in different areas.
The earliest tremor was felt at 3:20 a.m.
after residents who panicked rushed out of their homes reading the verses from the Koran.
Aid and rescue activities are underway, with emergencies stated in all hospitals.
According to Hashmi, some people have rushed to the hospital in critical conditions.
He said that some buildings in Harnai had been damaged.
Many people were taken buried under debris.
More than 100 mud houses also fainted, leaving hundreds of people who lost their homes.
The power supply to the area has been suspended, he said.
The head of Balochistan Minister Kamal Khan Alyani said that efforts to help and evacuation were underway.

The Army said in a statement that troops reached the areas hit by the Harnai earthquake for rescue efforts and assistance.
“Need food / shelter required for the population affected by the earthquake.
Doctors & Army Paramedics along with drugs needed to help civil administration for medical care needed,” he said.
Speaking to Geo News, Director of PDMA General Naseer Ahmed Nasir said there had been landslides in the mountains.
Minister of Home Affairs Mir Ziaullah Langove said five to six districts were affected by “large scale” and data was still collected.
Pakistan straddled between India and Eurasian tectonic plates and located in the Indus-Tsangpo stitch zone, which is approximately 200 km north of the Himalayan Front, which makes this region very vulnerable to the earthquake.
The region has the highest level of stability and the largest earthquake in the Himalayan region, mainly due to movement on thrust errors.
This country has suffered several earthquakes in recent years.
This was not the first time that a large earthquake had hit Balochistan Province which consisted largely from open and mountainous spaces and land with many people living in remote remote areas.
In September 2013, the Great Earthquake hit a part of the province but its center in Divaran District and it killed around 825 people and was left thousands of injured people also flattened thousands of houses in the southwestern province.
One of the worst earthquakes to hit the country in the past few years was on October 8, 2005, which killed more than 74,000 people.
