Rajkot: A 22-year-old man was sentenced to a 20-year imprisonment on Wednesday by a court session in the Botad District to rape a six-year-old girl in November 2018.
Additional Session Judge Virendra Rajput while imposing a fine of RS 5,000 in Parmar Kuldip accused, directed the government to Pay Rs 5 Lakh at the rape victim.
The court sentenced Parmar, workers, under the IPC 376 (A) section (B) and Pocso action.
According to the details of the case, the defendant lured the little girl with a kite on November 29, 2018, when his parents came out to work in the factory.
When the girl’s parents returned, they found blood in her leggings and took her to a civil hospital where the doctor confirmed that she had been sexually attacked.
Then the police received the sketch of the defendant made with the help of the victims and his brothers, who also saw Parmar.
The police have formed seven teams consisting of 150 police to arrest the defendant.
They also explored scientific evidence such as blood samples and DNA testing and also took the help of a dog squad to arrest the defendant.
The police took the help of a child psychiatrist using the technical supervision method such as detailed cell phone calls to track suspects.
