New Delhi: A 22-year-old man was beaten to death and his friend was injured during a robbery offer in Outer Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar.
The police have arrested four people in this case.
PCR’s call was made on Friday, 2.52 in the morning, regarding a quarrel in Swaroop Nagar.
The police reached the place and found one person in an unconscious state.
He was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
The deceased was identified as Ankit (22).
“Other people also suffered injuries in a fight and were hospitalized,” said an officer.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Brijendra Kumar Yadav said the defendant had been identified as Nikhil Pal, Vijay, Sushil and Ashok after scanning CCTV recordings.
The booty cellphone from the injured person was restored from the defendant.
Police said on the day of all the defendants roamed the Swaroop Nagar looking for the target.
They saw two men coming with a bicycle.
“They were stopped by the defendant and asked for money.
When the duo refused to give money, they were contacted with bricks and blunt objects,” the officer said.
