Greater Noida: With the State Government is expected to hold a stone plate ceremony of the Airport Foundation Immediate Airport, Corporation Transmission Transmission Limited (UPPTCL) has accelerated the work on the first 220 KV substation in the sheet.
Power transmission wings now plan to complete the job in November this year instead of the previous deadline of December 2021.
For this, additional workers have been deployed on the site.
Substation is being built in sector 32, 7 km from the airport to be sent, at a cost of Rs 70 Crore.
Puneet Gupta, Superintending Engineer (Transmission) UpPTCL, said, “With developments around the airport project, we have also accelerated the work on the substation and plan 220 KV to complete work in November.
For this, we have used 50-70 workers Additional and work has been accelerated.
“He added that the work was delayed because of the pandemic and the rainy season, but they now managed to get a part of China.
“We aim to complete the substation on November 15 and have saved 15 days for trials and testing,” Gupta added.
Substation will serve airport areas and rural belts around the Shares, Rabupura, Danka and Sector 32, 33, 34 of Yeida.
While 5 hectares have been given by Yeida for the substation, 5 additional hectares have been approved for 400 KV substations to appear in this region in the next five years.
CEO of Yeida Arun VIR Singh said that the second substation was needed given the industrial burden of the 192 MW airport load and a jewar of 2040.
