2,290 new Covid-19 cases, 68 deaths in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Karnataka reported 2,290 new Covid-19 cases and 68 deaths on Friday, with total infection to 28.67,158 and tolls to 35,731.
That day also saw 3,045 release, continued to exceed the number of new cases, taking the total number of recovery in the state of 27,93,498, the health department bulletin said.
Of the 2,290 new cases reported on Friday, 472 came from Bengaluru Urban, because the city saw 814 disposal and only 12 deaths.
The total number of active cases in the country is 37,906.
While the level of participants for that day reached 1.48 percent, the case mortality rate (CFR) was 2.96 percent.
Of the 68 deaths reported on Friday, 12 came from Bengaluru Urban, Dakshina Kannada contributed nine, mysuru seven, Davangere and Dharwad respectively, followed by others.
Among the districts where new cases were reported, Bengaluru Urban contributed 472, Hassan 228, Mysore 216, Dakshina Kannada 209, followed by others.
Bengaluru Urban District topped a list of positive cases, with a total of 12,18,493, followed by Mysuru 1.69.304 and Tumaku 1.16.079.
Among the release as well, Bengaluru Urban was above with 11.89,233, followed by Mysuru 1,63,744 and Tumaku 1,13,575.
Cumulatively total 3.56,30,054 samples were tested in a state so far, where 1.53,740 on Friday only.
