Jaisalmer: Rajasthan anti-terrorist forces (ATS) on Wednesday recovered 22 kilograms of heroin smuggled from Pakistan in the Barmer district.
Four defendants have been detained in this connection.
The confiscated heroin value is estimated at RS 110 Crore in the international market.
ATS digging Anshuman Bhomia said, “We get information that a large heroin consignment will be smuggled into the Barmer from Pakistan.
Then, the consignment must be supplied to smugglers in Punjab.
We have increased alertness in the area.” Bhomia said, ATS added SP OM Prakash Ujjwal Leading a team that raided the Ramsar Gadra area and recovered 22 heroin packages.
Four defendants had been detained.
They have been identified as Deravar Singh Sodha, Kalu Singh Sodha, Khet Singh Sodha and Devi Singh.
The defendant was being interrogated.
