Lucknow: In another shot at a record, Uttar Pradesh on Monday gave 23 doses of the Covid-19 lakh vaccine to people throughout the state in one day.
After 29.52 lakh doses on August 3, this is the second highest vaccination of the state in one day, officials said.
With this, it rises to become the first country to have more than five crore people who have taken at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
In accordance with the Cowin portal update until 11pm, 23,01,031 vaccine doses given in the state on Monday took the total number of doses to 5.97 crores.
In Maharashtra, the closest competitor up, the dose of 5.01 crore has been given.
35% of the qualified population of 14 Crores has taken at least one vax dose in upofficial in the State Health Department claiming that nearly 35% of the total population that qualifies from 14 crores has now taken at least one dose.
However, up need to take steps in full vaccination.
Data shows that 93,61,750 people in this country have taken both doses that are almost 6.8% of the target population.
Maharashtra and Gujarat are in front of this count with a population that is fully vaccinated by 1.3 lakh and 98 lakh respectively.
Among the districts, Lucknow (23.12 lakh) sustained a total list of doses given while Chitrakoot (2.95 lakh) ranked the lowest.
Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Meerut and Gorakhpur are districts where more than 15 doses of lakh have been given.
Meanwhile, the lowest Covid-19 case has been in the last 16 months.
Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Health, Amit Mohan Prasad only said 17 people tested positively in the last 24 hours while 36 people recovered from infection in the same duration.
The official bulletin shows that the case17 was reported from 13 regencies while 45 districts did not see new entries.
