23 more councils in Patiala want the mayor’s loyalist captain

Patiala: The day after 16 members of the Patiala City Council MC met the Cabinet Minister Brahm Mohindra to find the elimination of the Mayor of Sanjeev Sharma aka Bittu, 23 more council members in Patiala had advanced with the same request.
This means that 39 out of a total of 60 board members at Patiala MC’s house wanted Bittu, a believer of the former CM Kapt Amarinder Singh, out.
On Monday night, council members from 23 of the 26 wards fell under the selection of Mohindra held a meeting with the last and demanded the mayor to be changed.
There are 60 wards in Patiala, where 32 is included under the constituency of Amarinder Patiala urban, while 26 falls in Mohindra’s constituties, rural patiats.
The two remaining wards fell under the privance constituency.
Mohindra said 23 more council members, including one from the ward who fell under the patala urban, signed a letter looking for mayor’s change.
“Sixteen Board members under Patia Constitution Urban demanded the same thing.
I have no hostility with anyone, but the board members reach me.
Some of the Board members have approached me to get the Mayor to change.
The problem is still in consideration and decisions will be taken soon , “he said.
Replying to the query, Mohindra said the decision to take action against those who support Amarinder will be decided by the high command party.
Three of the six members of the Financial Committee and Patiala MC (F & CC) Contract on Monday also received a meeting that was postponed for the reasons that functioned for several projects to several contractors had been delayed because they could not solve them for months outside time and the contractors the same should not be given an extension.
Senior Deputy Mayor Y Yogi and members of the Anil Moudgil and Harvinder Committee Shukla received a canceled meeting.
The source said when the board members wanted the Mayor of Petelles to be removed, the committee member did not want him to take credit on behalf of the party.
