23 of the 35 omicron cases have no symptoms

Vadodara: Increasing the number of cases of omicron variants can cause concerns, but most cases are detected so far have no symptoms.
They are tested as part of the protocol or contact contact.
The city has registered 35 omicron cases so far but it is feared that the actual number may be much higher.
The first person to test positive is a partner who has returned from Zambia.
They went for the Covid-19 test with the insistence of their relatives.
All eight contacts near the couple, which are found infected by the omicron variant, are also positively tested in contact contacts.
Then, the genome sequencing confirmed that all eight were infected with the Omicron variant.
Six other people underwent a RT-PCR test, because they had to travel abroad.
What surprised them, they were found positively.
Some of them were then tested negatively and even traveled abroad before the results of the sequencing genome confirmed that they were infected with the omicron variant.
Advisor for Covid-19 in Vadodara Dr.
Sheetal Mistry said that the symptoms caused by omicron were very light and therefore there was a number of possibilities that might not be infected.
“There may be an Omicron case even before the first case is detected,” he said.
“People who have any symptoms have to isolate themselves immediately and are tested.
This will ensure that they do not spread further,” Mistry said.
The fact that those infected with the Omicron variant never realized that they were sick could be the main reason for the high spread, the feelings of experts.
Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) Medical Officer (Health) Dr.
Devesh Patel said that it was true that most cases were asymptomatic or with mild symptoms.
“But in the case of people with comorbidity, there may be complications.
Such people need to be careful,” he said.
