New Delhi: Congress on Thursday told at least 23 leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, and seven accounts related to the party, were suspended by Twitter.
The suspended account includes senior leaders of K C C C C Venugopal and Randeep Surjewala, among others, the Head of the Rohan Social Media Gupta, and Twitter Handle Inc.
along with The Party’s Mumbai, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Daman and Diu and Tamil Nadu.
A Twitter spokesman said the action began because the handle violated Twitter rules and that the account would be restored so that the content was inappropriately deleted.
The handle has installed a photo of a family of victims whose death was suspected of being a case of sexual violence.
Twitter was warned for photos of the Dalit family from the 9-year-old meeting Rahul Gandhi, distributed to the last Twitter handle, by the National Commission for Protection of Children’s Rights (NCPCR).
As a sign of protest against the action of “wrong place” social media company, and to throw challenges too, the supporters of the Congress named their handles as ‘Rahul Gandhi’ and changed their profile pictures to Rahul, which led to most of the handle of the body.

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who also heads the permanent parliamentary committee on information technology, said the actions taken against Rahul Gandhi raised clear concerns about selectivity and bias.

The social media firm says, “Twitter rules are imposed wisely and implying for everyone in our services.
We have taken proactive action on several hundred tweets that record images that violate our rules, and can continue to do it in line with our various enforcement options.
