New Delhi: A 23-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing someone for old hostilities in the Southwest Delhi Najafgarh area, police said on Friday.
The victim, Amit Shorden (35) was shot down on Wednesday by three attackers when he and his friends would buy liquor in the car, they said.
Syoken sustained 13 bullet injuries and rushed to the hospital where the doctor declared him dead, said a senior police officer.
The two friends from the deceased managed to escape from that place, police said.
The defendant has been identified as Deepak, a resident of Kakrola Dairy, they said.
After receiving information about the incident on Wednesday, the police team reached the place and found a car with a bullet hole.
Police found that three people had been fired indiscriminately in Shönke, a resident of Dichaon Village, officials said.
The police examined CCTV footage and identified attackers, officials said.
The police put a trap after getting a tip-off that Deepak will come to Dhoolsiras Village and after the defendant was accused, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka), said Santosh Kumar Meena.
During the interrogation, the defendant revealed that his father was arrested and sent to prison after Shönke harassed him on the property and involved him in a fake case of murder efforts, police said.
His brother Krishan was also sought in the case.
Shorden also threatened Deepak to involve it and his family in another false case because of the hostility that grew between them, police said.
Then, Deepak, Krishhan and Darshan Dabas conspired to eliminate Shönen, they said.
On Wednesday, Deepak and Dabas blocked the Shorden car and shot him.
They joined Krishan and after killing the deceased, they fled the place, police said.
One gun along with two direct rounds has recovered from Deepak’s ownership, they added.
