Coimbatore: At least 230 people were tested positive for viruses in Coimbatore on Saturday, even when 247 patients were dismissed from various treatment centers, carrying active cases down to 2,091.
While 2,35,504 people were tested positive for viruses in the district until now, 2.31,156 of them had recovered.
The district did not report Covid’s death that day.
S Ssyat’s G S District collector has asked the owner of the wedding building to provide wedding details and other events for the next week to Tahsildars and do not allow more than 50 people to attend the event.
Tirupur district, meanwhile, recorded 61 fresh Covid cases, took the calculation to 90,085, which was 88,344, including 79 patients returned on that day, has recovered so far.
At present, there are 814 Covid cases active in Tirupur.
