Yavatmal: launching the main hard action in illegal activities in the district, Yavatmal police have arrested 237 vendors from the forbidden Gutkha and seized the material worth RS1.75 Crore at 89 cases.

Under the drive, the police will also monitor criminal activities.
“We have sent 15 proposals to the government under the prevention of Maharashtra dangerous activities (MPDA) acting to hold criminals, where 4 has been cleaned and historical sheets have been submitted in prison,” SP said.
Of the total 176 proposals for existent thugs, 36 has been released and this criminal has been released from the district, he said, adding to the actions below the 110 CRPC section taken against 145 people.
The police also registered 43 cases under the ARM and confiscated 3 pistols made by the country, said Bhujbal.
