Madurai: Rain broken 24 lodges in Kanyakumari District in Tamil Nadu.
According to disaster management officials, six cottages were fully damaged and 18 left were partially damaged.
A total of 17 huts were damaged in Agastheeswaram Taluk.
Five cottages were partly damaged in the Taluk Thovalai and each in Vilavancode and KiatOoor Taluk.
The district records light and moderate rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The water level in Vaigai Dam rose from 62.2 feet on Tuesday morning to 62.73 feet on Wednesday morning.
Theni Regency recorded an average rainfall of 10.16 mm in 23 hours to Wednesday morning.
Despite the water for the rice pisanam season, the water level in 143 feet of damasam dam rose slightly from 135.25 feet on Tuesday to 135.6 feet on Wednesday.
Tirunelveli district recorded 20.18 mm rainfall until 8am on Wednesday.

Tenkasi district recorded an average rainfall of 29.72 mm with sankarankovil (42 mm) recorded the highest.
