Tokyo: The Tokyo Olympic organizer on Thursday announced 24 new Covid-19 cases, including three athletes, the highest one-day numbers so far.
Fresh additions take the total number of related cases of games up to 193.
From 24, six are personnel concerned and 15 are contractors, in addition to three athletes.
The cases related to the highest Olympics came a day after the Covid-19 Japanese and Tokyo infection number crashed the highest throughout the period of 9,583 and 3,177 respectively.
On Wednesday, 16 cases related to the Olympics were reported but there were no athletes and no one lived in the village of Games.
The total number of cases in the village of Games is currently standing at 23.
The committee said 38,484 from abroad had entered Japan for the match until Monday.
