Sambalpur: A couple allegedly killed a 24-year-old young man at Nagar Hariom under the Dhanupali police station in the city of Monday night.
The couple also suffered an incident in the incident and underwent treatment in Vimsar, Burla.
The police have not confirmed the motive behind the incident.
While the police identified the deceased such as Deepak Yadav, the couple had been identified as Vinit Pardia (33) and his wife Minati (30).
Deepak is a relative of the defendant Vinit.
Police said the incident occurred around 11:30 a.m.
on Monday.
Deepak has a good relationship with Vinit and often visits their homes.
He had gone to their house on Monday night but the heated argument occurred which then turned into a fight.
The trial heard a shout from inside the house, the local residents told the police.
The police reached the place and found Deepak lying in a puddle of blood and vinit injured critically at home.
Minati also suffered an injury.
They were taken to the District Head Office Hospital, Sambalpur, where Deepak was declared dead.
