Prayagraj: In the next few months, 25 buses operated with sophisticated batteries will be more layer on the streets of Sangam.
To start, 25 buses have landed in the city and are expected to reach the road in January-February next year.
The buses have been registered in the District Regional Transportation Office (RTO) and will operate on two main routes of the city.
The authorities will get a set of 25 other buses in a few months and they will operate on three additional routes, take the total route as five.
Prayagraj City Transportation Service Authorities (PCTSL) has disabled detailed route maps to operate this bus and the mega charging station has been developed near the old bridge on the Yamuna River (Naini side) where 25 electronic buses can be charged at one time.
This filling station is being built around 6,000 square meters.
The PCTSL implementing director of PCTSL TK said, “We have received 25 buses that have been registered with local RTO and will run on the road in a few months.” The official clarified that the bus would operate next month or more and not on the proposed visit from the Prime Minister on December 21.
He further informs that in the first phase, the bus will operate on two routes, the first is Shantipuram (Phaphamau) to Raymond Crossing (Naini) and the second of Trivenipuram (Jhunsi) to Puramufi (Manauri).
“When we get 25 additional buses, they will operate on three routes: the train station to Lalgopalj, Bhairana to Shankargarh and from civilian lines to Pratappur,” MD said.
The air-conditioned bus fully has several features including the announcement from the next termination before reaching (like a metro train), the indicator for low batteries (before 20 km of total discharge), music system, mic with drivers to interact with passengers like and when needed, system GPS and CCTV in the driver’s seat have a full view of passengers.
Bus facilities will be available from 6am to 8pm and there will be 28 chairs on this bus.
Among other things, two seats are provided for different people and 22 passengers can stand up.
For passenger safety, the bus will only continue its journey after the gate is fully closed.
