Bhagalpur: With the aim of providing public utilities for the general public and commuters to answer natural calls, Bhagalpur Smart City Limited (BSCL) will soon build a toilet-toilet in various environments of the city of Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation (BMC) under the mission of City City.

25 Toilet e-toilets will be built in 12 locations in the city.
The selected area is Lajpat Park (2 units), Tilka Manjhi (2 Units), Kutchery Chowk (3 Units), Burhanath (2 Units), Ghanta Ghar-Kutchery Chowk Road (2 Units), Kutchery-Tilka Manjhi Road (2 Units ) (2 units), Kotwali Chowk (2 units), Adamar Chowk (2 units), Vivekanand Road-Sharda Satet Sadan (2 units), close to Bhagalpur Train Station (2 units), close to Jalan Bihar Transport Bus Depot (2 Unit) and Depot Koyla -Khanjarpur (2 units).
The BSCL source said RS2.6 Crore will be spent on 25 toilets, where financial offers resolved.
Facilities and equipment needed, including smart water meters and water supply systems, soak-pits, septic tanks, automatic electronic door systems, automatic flushing and automatic cleaning, electrical connections, smart electrical devices and motorized devices will be provided for the functional smart e-toilet , Pressurl Chandra Yadav, Managing Director (MD) Commissioner BSCL and Municipal, said architectural design details, including civil layout and plans, had been completed and the bidding process was in the final stage.
“The works related to the Smart e-toilet will begin soon.
It will be an ultramodern e-toilet to help residents, passing people and travelers,” said Yadav.
He added: “The two companies have been selected and works will be allocated after the final approval.
After commissioning e-toilet smart, the service provider will maintain and maintain e-toilets for five consecutive years.” Bhagalpur was chosen under the ‘Smart Cities Mission ‘, the central government sponsor scheme launched in June 2015, in the second list for smart cities in May 2016.
The central government has proposed to spend RS80,789 Crore for five years Finance (FY) starting from the 2015-2016 TA with expenditure plans RS100 Crore on average per year for city development and the same amount to contributed by the state.
Furthermore, BSCL is included in implementing the project.
