Kanpur: 25 more people have tested the Zika virus positive at Kanpur on Wednesday.
The total number of cases in the city is now in 36.
“The condition of all 25 patients is stable, and does not need to panic.
All new patients are in house isolation and special teams have been constructed to monitor their health,” said Judge District Vishak G Iyer on Wednesday after Emergency review meeting with health officials.
“One patient, among previous cases, has shifted to the trauma center of Koughhiram from house isolation,” he added.
Zika’s latest cases were reported from civilians and soldiers from the Chakei area.
Warnings have been heard within a 30 km radius area and a large vector control drive has also been launched, said DM.
“This is my personal appeal for all Denizens City to ensure that there is no water collection that is stagnant at home or edges.

The first Zika case was reported from Pardewanpurwa in Chokeri on October 23 after the 57-year-old Indian Air Force officer was tested positive for the virus.
