Ahmedabad: With the rainy season, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has taken work repair work seriously, including re-coating and patching holes.
AMC on Thursday is also sanctioned resurfacing roads and collision work for RS 17 Crore.
“We started the road tiller work on July 1 but because of the rain, the work was disturbed.
With the rainy season, we have accelerated the work,” AMC official said.
According to AMC, starting July 1 to October 14 patch 25,623 holes in seven zones.
Most pytholes are patched in the east zone (4,396) followed by the North West Zone (4,333).
“We agree to various road repairs and resurfacing tenders.
Scheduling and reintering will be carried out at a cost of Rs 17 Crore,” Hitesh Barot said, Chairman of the AMC standing committee.
The committee on Thursday approved a job at a cost of Rs 13.52 Crore in the Central Zone and Rs 1.87 Crore in the West Zone.
The Civic body will also repair the road and build a path in its Western zone at a cost of Rs 37 lakh.
