MySuru: In the survey conducted by urban local agencies in Chamarajanagar, 259 children who drop out of school have been identified.
A total of 178 children who dropped out of school were from the city of Chamarajanagar.
Poverty, migration, lack of adequate infrastructure in schools and even examples of children’s marriage is one reason for children dropouts in the border district.
Many parents quote the loss of work after a crisis induced by a pandemic because it attracted their children out of school.
The purpose of this survey is to ensure that children who drop out of school return to the formal education system.
Teachers, enumerators appointed by the Urban Planning Department to conduct surveys identify 178 children at the district headquarters.
Most of the children who drop out of school were traced back to the less capable part of the city.
While 30 children in the city of Kollegal dropout, the number is 43 in the area under the jurisdiction of the Gundlupet City Council and six in Hanur.
The Jakarta District Planning Director said that they began the survey in July.
“We will send a detailed report to Deputy Commissioner Chamarajanagar, and to the Ministry of Education’s officials to take steps to take them back to school,” Suresh Toi said.
