26 of 60 COVID + VE cases in senior residents of the letter

Surat: out of a total of 60 people who have tested positively in the last 10 days in the letter, 26 above 60 years and the majority of them are vaccinated.
Of these cases, 25 are between groups of 19 to 60 years and eight under 18 years.
According to public health officials, the majority of these positive people are vaccinated with at least one dose.
“Of this amount, 29 is fully vaccinated while eight minors do not meet the requirements and others are vaccinated in part.
Those who are found infected have mild symptoms and are under house isolation,” said a health official.
Health officials Municipal Corporation (SMC) letter confirmed that these cases gradually rose due to the celebration season and when strict restrictions were relaxed.
The highest positive case, 29, was found from a luxury area in the South West Zone (Athwa) followed by the Western Zone (Rander) which has 21 cases.
When the cases increased, SMC had begun declaring the entire building as a cluster zone where some cases were found and ensuring that quarantine zone rules were followed by this residential tower.
Three apartments in Vesu, Athwa and Piplod and one in the PAL area have been stated by the cluster zone.
All positive people in this cluster area are houses in a quarantine and not suffering from serious illness.
“SMC has achieved 97% vaccination of a qualified population.
We maintain strict supervision to ensure that infection does not spread in a wider area,” an official said.
