Kolkata: Nearly 26 lakh farmers in Bengal tend to receive their second installment PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced ninth under the scheme on Monday.
While the scheme was launched on December 1, 2018, Bengal farmers accept payments that are delayed after the deadlock over the list of beneficiaries and payment methods between the country and the center.
According to the available figures, there are 34.5 lakh farmers in the state listed with a scheme after data validation.
This center has so far received data on almost 45 farmers.
Until Sunday, the fund transfer order was received for 28.8 lakh farmers.
Of the total number of registered recipients, almost 14.5% are included in the SC / SC category.
On Monday, more than RS 573 Crore was released for farmers in the state.
Sources at the Ministry of Agriculture said the first installment was released for around seven Lakh farmers.
Two installments, said source, were released together in May this year, but the state accused that many farmers did not accept the promised amount.
Bengal, meanwhile, launched the Krishak Bandhu scheme in December 2018 to provide financial assistance to nearly 62 lakh farmers and farmers Garugu.
In a letter to the farmer, CM Mamata Banerjee on Saturday said the state scheme was more friendly because it included “dry farmers and waste”.
Those who do not have land registered in their names are entitled to benefit with self-declaration.
“You should have received Rs 18,000, but you get far more than that from the center and it is also after the old negotiations by the state government,” he wrote.
On Monday, the Gopal Koley and Bolanath MAITURING of Singur received money under the Krishak scheme.
“I have received money under the State Scheme, but I waited for money under the PM scheme,” said Mantu Bhowmik, a farmer in Tarakeswar.
According to the country’s source, there are around 20 registered Hanancropper lakes that do not meet the requirements under the central scheme, but can benefit under the Bandhu Krishak scheme.
The opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari, however, trains weapons in the state government for delaying payments to farmers.
“About 26 lakh WB farmers will receive the benefits this time …
launched in 2018, but WB farmers have been seized from the main benefits of cm objections regarding the transfer directly to the beneficiaries,” he tweeted.
