27 Rengres Houses on Patna for Flyover Construction

Patna: A clash broke out among the locals and those involved in the anti-encroachment drive in Mithapur under the area of the Jamkekankur police station here on Saturday.
In the midst of the presence of police forces, at least 27 houses were returned to the plot number 125 for even the construction of the foot of Mithapur Flyover.
Flyover will provide direct connectivity between the mitphapur bridge and the highway of Mithapur-Mahfi through Sipara.
This will be parallel with the train overbridge.
According to District Administrative Officers, the engineer team from Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam Limited, land acquisition and amen from the conscious zone had made a red mark in the area where houses were destroyed, in addition to measuring land.
Even the construction of the feet from the flyover has not been completed because of the disruption to a stretch of around 800 meters where the anti-encroachment drive is carried out on Saturday.
When a team with the District Administration and Patna Municipal Corporation reached the site with JCB machines and bulldozers, people began to throw stones.
Then, heavy police forces were deployed at the location.
The locals alleged that they received notification from the district administration on Friday night and asked to empty the house.
One Savita Devi said his house was destroyed in a short time.
“It takes a lifetime to build a house, but the administration has barreled our house in just a few hours.
The administration only gives Rs 40,000 as compensation for each house where we have spent lakh,” Sumitra Devi said, another woman whose house was Rengres.
However, the district administration said they had issued a notification to the property owner about eight months ago.
“Three notifications were sent about six months back, asking the owner to claim the amount of their compensation,” said an official.
Pramod Kumar, district land procurement officer, said 77 land decimals on plot number 125 must be obtained for the settlement of the elevated project.
The owner of 27 houses was issued notice about eight months ago.
This land cost is Rs 19.5 Crore.
Three notifications are served on landowners and they are asked to claim compensation.
However, only two of them claimed the amount of compensation so far, “he added.
Kumar said the announcement was made for two days, asking people to empty their homes.” A camp was also held to compensate for affected people.
We have 10 more applications for compensation.
The district government will arrange another camp on Sunday so that the remaining people can file compensation, “he added.
