Letter: Jiten Jena (27), slums in the Pandesara area, allegedly ended his life by consuming acids on Sunday.
Jena, Odisha’s native resident lives in the city for the past 10 years.
During the preliminary investigation it was revealed that Jena could not send money to her mother for her sister’s wedding.
Frustrated for its economic conditions, Jena consumed acids and told her roommate, who rushed to the hospital.
But Jena died during treatment.
