New Delhi: More than 60 cases of new dengue fever have been reported in the national capital in the past week, taking the total number of this year to more than 270, according to the citizenship reports released on Monday.
This month alone, at least 149 cases have been recorded until September 25, which is around 54 percent of cumulative cases.

The first causes of classical dengue fever, while the two leads to hemorrhagic fever with shock.
There are two other types, III which caused fever without being in accordance with the citizenship reports, 102 malaria cases and 52 chikungunya cases have also been reported until September 25 this year.
The number of dengue cases for the period 1 January-25 September was established in 273, which is also the highest since 2019 when the count has reached 282 during the same period.
Last year, 188 cases of dengue fever were reported throughout September, and 190 years earlier.
In the previous year, the figures were established at 374 (2018), 1103 (2017), 1,362 (2016) and 6,775 (2015), according to data distributed by Health Minister Delhi Satyendar Jain on September 22.
He has claimed that the city this year has recorded the lowest number of cases of dengue fever in September, vis-a-vis appropriate number in the past six years.
According to the Civic report issued by City corporation last week, 211 cases of dengue fever were recorded until September 18 this year.
So, 62 new cases have been recorded in one week while 72 cases were reported in August, according to the report.
Dengue Mosquito larvae breed in clear water and stand, while malaria develops even in dirty water.
Cases of diseases transmitted through vectors are usually reported between July and November, but the period can stretch until mid-December.
The distribution of wise cases is – January (0), February (2), March (5), April (10) and May (12), June (7) and July (16), he said.
In previous years, cases in the same period were – 1,692 (2016), 1,807 (2017), 481 (2018), 282 (2019) and 212 (2020), according to the report.
However, there were no deaths reported because of dengue fever in the city until now, he said.
Malaria, dengue fever and chikungunya accompanied by high fever and therefore, the doctor felt that people might suspect that they had contracted Covid-19.
Civil bodies in Delhi have intensified their steps to prevent the outbreak of transmitted diseases through vectors.

The Minister of Health Delhi also said that the government’s anti-dengue encouragement, ’10 hafte, 10 Baje, ran 10 minutes over the past few weeks to raise awareness about the prevention, and it would be increasingly intensive.
The North Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh recently told reporters that the North Delhi Municipal corporation would run a campaign during intensive weeks from October 2-7 to maintain vector transmitted diseases.
South Delhi Mayor Mukesh Suryan recently alleged that the Delhi government played “political campaign” when it arrived at the fight against the disease transmitted through vectors, called anti-fever “eyewash”.
Senior BJP leader in the corporation of Municipal South Delhi (SDMC), at a press conference here, has claimed that the chairman of the Minister of Arvind Kejriwal is “taking credit” in controlling the disease transmitted through vectors in the city.
The chairman of the Committee in Delhi Municipal Corporation, Jogi Ram Jain has recently held a meeting with the Public Health Department official about Dengue Prevention, Malaria and Chikungunya.
Jain has directed officials to conduct consciousness campaigns in all fields under NDMC so that the maximum residents can be made aware of.
He also directs them to regularly examine the breeding of mosquito larvae in the place of government buildings, schools, offices, community buildings and pharmacies.
