New Delhi: There is a record of 28% surge in crimes registered throughout the country by 2020, although basically due to a sharp increase in the case submitted to violations of Norma Covid-19, in accordance with ‘crime in India’ for 2020 released by 2020 Bureau Note National Crime (NCRB) on Wednesday.
A little more than 66 lakh crimes that can be recognized, including 42.54 lakh submitted under the IPC (the highest since 1981) and 23.46 lakh under the Special and Local Law (SLL), registered in 2020.

Violation of the state saw a sharp decline of 26.7% compared to 2019, with more than 80% of cases under this head listed under the prevention of damage to public property action.
As many as 44 people were arrested throughout the country last year for incitement (section 124a IPC), 1,321 under UPA and 52 in the official secret law.
‘Anti-citizen’ triggers 398 incidents of violence, where 240 is by left-wing extremists, 76 by jihad terrorists, 45 by northeast guerrillas and 37 by ‘other terrorists’.
A total of 80 civilians and 73 martyr’s security personnel in the confrontation / attack by ‘anti-citizen’ in 2020, while 55 Maois, 82 Jihad terrorists and 37 others were also killed.
Economic violations fell 12% by 2020 compared to 2019, while cyberspace crimes increased by 11.8% in the appropriate period.
Interestingly, the seizure of fake Indian currency records (FICN) surged more than 190% from 8.34,947 notes with a nominal value of RS 92 Crore from 2,87,404 notes with a nominal value of Rs 25.39 Crore in 2019.
