MADHEPURA: Recovery of the body of the local Youth Pappu Swarnakar (28), triggered violent protests in the village of Rampur under the Murliganj District Police Station area on Saturday.
Irate’s villagers did not only block NH-107 near the village of Rampur under the Murliganj police station area for hours but also set houses and bicycles on fire alleged defendants.
The blockade continued until late at night which was appointed after the intervention of senior police officers.
Manoj Swarnakar, the cousin of the young man who was killed said, “Pappu worked as an employee of the local jewelry dealer Deepak Kumar, son of Ramchandra Yadav, who used to sell gold and silver ornaments to local retailers.
A few days ago when returning home, the victim was robbed by several ornaments near the nearby Jorgama Village.
The incident was informed to the dealer but he did not file a complaint to the police and began to press on Pappu to pay the jewelry price missing.
“Deepak was also forcibly took the papu bike to his house and openly threatened him from the terrible consequences of just four days back.
On Tuesday, Pappu was called by Deepak at his home from where he did not return even the next day.
His family members asked Deepak about his whereabouts who also pretended not to realize it.
Some female farmers found the victim’s body unraveled in nearby bamboo in the village on Saturday and told the other villagers.
This information spreads like a wild fire and soon the villagers attacked the place.
When he saw Pappu’s body, they grew angry and detrimental deeply and then blocked the road.
“One person has been arrested in this relationship so far,” Murliganj PS Sho Akhilesh Kumar said.
