Bhubaneswar: Komisiancah police on Monday said 29 young men had been ordered to share videos, where they were seen dancing in the middle of the road by pointing swords and firearms, on social media.
Gang called it for the ‘Koi Bhai Nehi’ (KBN) group.
“We have arrested seven of them so far.
While five have been in prison after their arrest a few days ago, two were arrested on Monday.
Raids are being carried out to arrest other gang members,” said Deputy Commissioner of the Uma Police Shankar Dash.
DCP said the police took this matter very seriously after the video triggered panic among people in the capital city.
“It is clear that anyone will be afraid after watching videos.
We will not convey anyone, who terrorizes people by recording such criminal acts and circulating videos on social media,” Dash warned.
Police said almost all members of the KBN were unemployed and had been involved in small crimes.
They live in various parts of the city.
Not affected by police actions, the KBN group distributed another video, featuring an unknown man to shoot in the air from the gun.
Brazilian appearance of the courage of the KBN group has made a red-faced police.
