Gurgaon: A 69-year-old woman claimed to be a private hospital with Covid died on Wednesday, the second death was related to infection in this city this month and four since November.
The doctor said the woman, who came from sector 43, had several comorbidity, including hypertension, chronic liver disease and diabetes.
He was not vaccinated.
The woman was tested positive on December 6 and was immediately hospitalized by her family after she developed respiratory problems.
He has a fever and many coughs too.
All of the contacts are tested negative.
The doctor at a private hospital said the woman was accepted with high fever and chronic liver disease.
“Patients were given fluid IV, antibiotics and other supporting steps.
He was then intubated.
He suddenly suffered a heart attack on Wednesday.
The CPR was finished but he could not be revived,” said the doctor.
The Ministry of Health said the woman chose not to be vaccinated.
“According to his family, he did not take the Covid vaccine because he suffered from liver disease,” said Medical Head of Gurgaon Virender Yadav.
He added that there were no restrictions like chronic liver disease.
“We have begged people with comorbidity to take the earliest vaccine,” CMO said.
On Monday, a 73-year-old woman was treated at the hospital died, the first Covid death of this month.
The doctor said the woman, who came from Manesar, had taken a vaccine photo – the second dose of Covaxin about four months ago – but has comorbidity such as hypertension and interstitial lung disease.
Although Covid crashed into the city in March last year, the first death associated with infection was reported only in May – four people had died that month.
However, the highest number of deaths was at the second wave height in May this year, when 343 Covid patients died.
The previous month, there were 112 deaths.
As of September and October this year, when cases have decreased significantly, Gurgaon did not report Covid’s death.
A total of 927 people had died after testing positive so far, in which 611 had comorbidity – 267 suffered from diabetes, 146 had hypertension, 86 suffered kidney disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
