Ghaziabad: The family of a 78-year-old man who died in May this year, received a message from the Ministry of Health on October 18 that he had been given the second dose of the covishield.
It was on March 20 that man, a resident of Shastri Nagar, was given the first dose of Covishield.
He died of illness on May 7, long before he was given the second dose.
On the night of October 18, his son got a message on the registered cellphone number whose father was given a second dose of the vaccine.
The message also has a link to download the vaccine certificate.
Bhavtosh Shankhdhar’s medical chief said he would solve this problem.
“Usually, such an error doesn’t happen.
But, if such a case is revealed, I will investigate it,” he told Toi.
Dushyant Pundhir, a family friend who died, said, “It is not a random case, but the problem of great concern.
This brings to one of the wrong department of the health department.
It also signaled a scam involving a covid vaccine.
When the person does not reach the center, How can he be given a vaccine? “Pundir added that in accordance with the vaccination certificate, the second dose was managed at the urban primary health center at Shastri Nagar.
When this problem was taken by the person in charge of the vaccine center, he asked the family to complain about it to his senior, he accused.
The center responsible, Pundir claimed, told them that someone might come with the person’s aadhaar card and took Jab.
“Even in such a scenario, it was a medical staff mistake.
They should match the photo with the recipient’s face,” he said.
