Agartala: Three men were arrested late on Thursday from Ker Chowmuhani on charges of trying to kill the Minister of TRIPURA BIPLAB DEB.
The trio drives a car through Cordon security from the minister’s chairman when he is on the night road near his official residence at Shyamaprasad Mukerjee Lane on Thursday.
Deb managed to jump sideways when the vehicle shook it, but one of his security personnel suffered a minor injury, police said.
The security of the minister’s head tried to intercept the car but could not, they added.
The three men were produced before the court of Judge Judge PP Judge Paul on Friday and sent to 14 days in prison.
The assistant prosecutor Bidyut Sutradhar said the motive of the three men, all of them in the middle of the 20s, have not been confirmed.
“We demanded two days of police shipments for interrogation, but the court has sent them to hold judicials until August 19.
Now, the police will interrogate them in prison to find out their motives behind the drive from Cordon,” Sutradhar said.
