Kanpur: Three people including the staff of the Social Welfare Department were arrested on Monday by Barra Police in connection with the wedding scheme scheme where they were allegedly found involved in misuse of funds.
Officers of the Department of Social Welfare and responsible for wedding grants, fake applicants and an intermediary have been arrested, police said.
The three have been ordered under the relevant parts of the IPC and sent to prison after being produced before the judge on Monday.
