JAIPUR: The whole team of Barwada police station at Sawai Madhopur district has been eliminated on Sunday, a day following a 55-year-old man supposedly died in police custody.
Though the SHO and three policmen were suspended Saturday, the whole team was sent to police lines on Sunday.
According to authorities, Bhajan Lal Meena had a confrontation with his uncle’s household on Friday and Saturday where the parties employed batons and iron sticks against each other.
Meena’s family alleged the authorities was unjust and didn’t listen to their version.
On Saturday, authorities brought Meena into the police station in which he fell down and became unconscious.
“It’s not yet been learnt the way he dropped down and became unconscious.
He had been hurried to a main health centre in where he had been sent into the district .
Following his health deteriorated, he had been hurried into SMS Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
We’ve suspended three policemen like the SHO and also have delivered 30 other people to authorities lines to get a reasonable investigation in the situation,” explained Sawai Madhopur SP Sudhir Chaudhary.
Following his passing, his family originally accused authorities of atrocities.
But on Sunday evening, the deceased brother resisted the FIR of murder contrary to the rival relatives.
“Under what situation he dropped down in the police station and didn’t even receive any new injury in the police station are a number of things that are probed via investigation.
Additionally, it could be observed if his prior injuries resulted in his departure or he had been thrashed in the police station also,” explained a senior officer of Sawai Madhopur authorities on the status of anonymity.
Originally the household members were loath of post mortem.
But, on Sunday after discovering actions against police officials that the post mortem has been conducted and funeral happened in the day.
