Mumbai: BJP leader and former Minister of Devendra Fadnivis, Amruta Fadnivis on Friday claimed that 3 percent of divorce in Mumbai was happening due to traffic jams.
“I say this as a common citizen.
Once I left, I saw a number of problems including holes, traffic.
Because of traffic, people can’t give time to their families and 3 percent of divorce in Mumbai is happening because of that, so I suggest The state government to pay more attention to his mistakes, “said Fadnivis.
Overcoming the media of people in Mumbai after an event, he alleged that the government of Maharashtra Vikas Agadi served as a monopoly and that they were only “Vasoololi” government.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar criticized Amrutis’s claims Fadnivis.
“Amrita Fadnivis is the wife of our former minister.
His accusation was very astonishing that traffic led to divorce.
There may be many reasons to divorce but this is for the first time I heard this,” said Pednekar.
His statement came ahead of the election of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) scheduled to be held later this year.
