Ludhiana: Local Unit Special Task Force (STF) captures three drug smugglers, including city-based brokers, a writer of a deed and student based, with 2.55kg heroin, 5kg medicine and Rs 66,500.
Heroin values around Rs 12.5 Crore in the International Market and Opium Rs 2 Lakh.
The arrest was Mangat Singh, 55, from Dhandra Road, Satinder Singinder, 57, from Phase-I, Dugta, and Madhur, Uttar Pradesh.Stf AIG Snehdeep Sharma said the police had caught Realtor Mangat Singh on October 18 and restored 1.05 kg of heroin , 1.5kg of medicine and rs 14,500 money from ownership.
The accusation admitted that he had consumed Opium for a long time and was smuggling drugs for the past five years with his friend’s sateer.
Mangat also has a case under ACT Act and gambling acts against it.
The police trapped his friends and recovered 500g of opium and Rs 52,000 medicine.
Satinder is the author of the deed and has consumed opium for more than 10 years they will visit Bareilly to buy contraband goods and smuggle it to Punjab.
The STF team went to catch him, but got information that he came to Punjab because of smuggling.
STF set up a checkpoint near the Shambhu border at Delhi-Ludhiana National Highway from where Madhur was arrested.
“Madhur was in Maruti Suzuki Swift (up16-AE8315) and on Frisking, STF found 1.5kg heroin and 3kg opium from boot.
Madhur, who chased graduation, also showed a ‘crime intelligence power’ sticker on his car to avoid being stopped when checking -Post.
According to Mangat and satinder, Madhur and his father both used medicine.
STF, after verifying the role of Madhur’s father, will nominate it in this case, “Inspector added.
The official said Madhur had faced the trial in the case below Section 353 (violence or criminal to prevent public servants from disposal of his duties) from the IPC.
